At Scoop Tales, we are on a mission to give back to Ohio’s shelter animals.

To the world, they are just pets. To us, they are family.
They are the only beings on earth that love you more than they love themselves. They are the frantic, tail-wagging joy that greets you at the door after a ten minute trip to the store as if you’ve been gone for days. They are the quiet weight on your lap when the world feels too heavy, and the goofy, head-tilting laugh you didn’t know you needed on a bad day.
They ask for so little – a walk, a treat, or a spot on the couch – and in return, they give us a lifetime of unconditional love.
They are only with us for a short time, but while they are here, they deserve the world. That is why Scoop Tales exists. We take care of the “dirty work” so you can spend those precious years focusing on belly rubs, playing fetch, and the memories. We do it to give back to the animals and all those waiting in the shelters for a home to call their own.
A Soul Worth Saving
From a “Case Number” to a Family Member.
This is Honey. Not long ago, she was just another statistic. She was scared, underweight, and shaking inside of a “kill” shelter. To the system, she was a number on a deadline. To us, she was a soul worth saving.
My wife’s family stepped in before it was too late. They saw past the ribs showing through her fur and the fear in her eyes. Today, Honey Buns isn’t just “surviving” – she’s the funniest, most loving girl we know with a personality compared to no other. She is a master of the “zoomies,” professional snuggler, and a constant reminder that there is no such thing as a “bad dog,” only dogs who haven’t been loved yet.
Why we fight: We are unapologetically against animal cruelty and the practice of kill shelters. Every time a tail stops wagging because a shelter ran out of space, a piece of our heart breaks. We created Scoop Tales to help give back to these animals. When you choose us, you are helping us fight for the Honeys of the world.

The Impact We're Making Together
At Scoop Tales, we’ve built giving back into our business from day one. Here is how your service makes an impact:
- The Founder’s 25: To celebrate our launch, for our first 25 residential weekly clients, we are donating one 40lb bag of Purina Dog Chow to Friendship APL.
- The Treat Rotation: Once we reach our first 25 clients, the giving continues! For every new service sign-up after that, we donate a bag of treats to our shelter of the month.
- Commitment to Community: We rotate our support between Friendship APL, The Rescue Inn, and Berea Animal Rescue.
Beyond the Basics: While our food and treat donations are guaranteed with every sign-up, our commitment does not stop there. As our business grows, we make additional financial and supply donations at our discretion throughout the year to ensure our local shelters have what they need.
We believe in 100% transparency. Together, this is the real world impact we are making for Ohio’s shelter animals.

Scoop Tales created this community to unite Ohio’s dog lovers through sharing funny stories, happy memories, and the good news coming out of our local shelters.
This is a place for connection, not commercials. We won’t use this space to advertise our residential services. Instead, we’ll celebrate your pets, share our donation photos, and collaborate on new ways to give back – including future projects to support our local shelters. It’s purely a place to get together and celebrate the animals we love.
